Are you a proactive and hands-on individual eager to make a meaningful impact? We are thrilled to welcome a dynamic Site Technician and Minibus Driver to our team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing our school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

In this multifaceted role, you will take charge of the cleanliness, routine maintenance, and repairs of our school buildings and grounds. Your practical skills will be instrumental in refurbishment projects, contributing significantly to the overall improvement of the school environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for the upkeep of our school minibuses, ensuring they remain in optimal condition to support the transportation needs of our students.

You will support our Operations Manager and Site Supervisor in maintaining uninterrupted teaching and learning whist over time improving the site and facilities.

Skills:

We are seeking an individual with practical skills, ideally with experience in maintenance or DIY tasks, particularly within a school setting. Your physical capability, coupled with a solid understanding of Health and Safety protocols, will be crucial in ensuring a secure and compliant environment. Effective communication skills will enable seamless collaboration with staff for ad-hoc maintenance and project works.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time position with core hours from Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:45. Flexibility is paramount to meet the dynamic needs of the school, including supporting private lettings during evenings and weekends. As a school keyholder, you should be available for out-of-hours overtime and emergencies.

All appointments to posts in the School are made through stringent adherence to the requirements of ‘Keeping Children safe in Education’. As there is a high degree of contact with children, an enhanced disclosure will be sought for this post through the Criminal Records Bureau as part of pre-employment checks.
