About the role
Are you looking for a specialist teaching and leadership role in a brand new, fully resourced provision?
In January 2026, Swallow Dell Primary School will be opening a new Specialist Resource Provision for 12 children from the local area and across the primary phase. Building works are currently underway in readiness for the opening of a new, purpose-built provision which will meet the needs of children with speech, language, communication needs and/or autism, who don't need a special school, but they need additional support so that they can access learning in a mainstream school.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) lead who will work alongside our senior leadership team, inclusion lead and SENCO and be responsible for delivering high quality education for the children attending Swallow Dell’s SRP as well as managing the team of high-quality support staff who will be in place.
Inclusion is of the highest importance at Swallow Dell and the SRP will form an integral part of our forward thinking and ambitious school.
This role provides an ideal opportunity for:
- Existing or aspiring SENCOs who wish to make a difference in a set role
- High quality teachers who are passionate about inclusion and SEND
- Aspirational teachers who want to take a step into leadership.
Please contact Headteacher James Berry (head@swallowdell.herts.sch.uk) to discuss the role further and arrange a school tour.
For exceptional candidates, payment on the leadership scale will be considered.
