About the role

We are seeking to appoint a qualified Supply Teacher to work within our Humanities Faculty. This is an hourly rate variable hours' contract.

Purpose of the Role

  • To supervise classes during short-term absence of class teachers.
  • To provide fixed term cover, within your subject specialism, during pre-planned absences of class teachers.
  • To maintain a working knowledge and understanding of teachers’ professional duties as set out in the current School Teachers’ Pay & Conditions document, and teachers’ legal liabilities and responsibilities relating to all current legislation, including the role of the education service in protecting children.

The successful candidate should be passionate about enabling students to achieve their very best, inspiring them through positive role-modelling and encouragement. You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Personal Statement

Two references from previous employments will be sought, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer. The two references should be from two different employments / organisations. The first referee should normally be your current or most recent employer. If you are currently working in education, a reference from the Headteacher / equivalent person in Senior Leadership Team is required. If you are not currently working with children, please provide a referee from your most recent employment involving children, if applicable.

References from relatives or from people writing solely in the capacity of friends will not be accepted.
