About the role
Chauncy School, “An outstanding school with an outstanding 6th Form” (Ofsted 2023)
Chauncy School is high achieving, inclusive, over-subscribed, popular and expanding. The school enjoys an excellent reputation, both locally and nationally.
Media Studies has become a particularly popular subject recently so we need another collegue to join the team.
The successful candidate will want to develop a career in a school where promotion is based solely on ability. Media Studies is taught at GCSE and A Level although the successful candidate may wish to consider other accreditation. Media Studies has its own room, attached computer room and is well resourced.
The position would suit an ECT or recently qualified teacher of Media wanting to develop their career. The cabability to offer a second subject is not essential but would be a real advantage.
Visits are very much encouraged before you apply. If you would like to visit, please contact Dennis O’Sullivan, Headteacher, or Assistant Headteacher Craig Burnett, on 01920 411200. You may also take this opportunity to have an informal phone conversation about the position.
Please take particular note of the following instructions in respect of the application process:
- Your application should comprise a completed Application Form, as attached to this advert, together with a letter addressed to Dennis O’Sullivan, Headteacher, of no more than one side of A4, explaining how you will make Media a powerful and successful subject at Chauncy School.
