TEACHER OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION - Fixed Term

About the role

TEACHER OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION - Fixed Term (Autumn Term September to December 2026)

MPS/UPS (plus London Fringe Allowance)

Loreto St Albans is an 11-18 girls’ academy recognised in October 2024 by OFSTED as outstanding in the four key areas. With the support of our enthusiastic and accomplished staff our students achieve excellent results, and the Progress 8 performance measure has regularly placed Loreto in the top 5% of schools in the country.  The school is oversubscribed and has earned an excellent reputation for discipline, pastoral care and academic standards.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher to join a well-established and successful Religious Education Department.  The successful candidate will be innovative and have a passion for the subject.  They will have the ability to inspire, engage and motivate students, and be able to teach across the whole ability range, KS3, KS4 and ideally KS5.

Visitors often say they are struck by the calm atmosphere and warmth and kindness of our students and staff. To help you make your decision on whether or not to apply, we very much recommend visits to the school to see it in action and to meet the Headteacher.
