About the role

Redbourn Park School is growing quickly and requires high-level staff to join the team. We currently have KS2 with KS3 opening in Easter. We are open to teachers from either primary or secondary.

We are a school that focuses on the needs of students with autism. Our highly skilled and resolute team provide a learning experience to our students who have complex educational needs requiring therapeutic behavioural support. To support our trained team, we have key input from specialists in OT, SaLT, SEMH, PDA and attachment. Some of our students have complex needs and someone who is comfortable with high level behaviour and phycial intervetion is important.

The school was established in September 2021 with 3 students and our second site for KS3 will extend our capacity to 20, and provide education up to year 9. We are planning to open a KS4 to 16 in 2026. During the first few years, we have established positive relationships with families and professionals which has allowed us to support our students holistically.

To quote a parent:

“The experiences he's having are helping with his life and social skills. Differentiated learning and therapies aimed at his particular needs and strengths means he is thriving for the first time since he started preschool.”

We have achieved these remarkable results:

  • With project style learning and a unique pupil-centred approach.

  • Teaching the core subjects and wider curriculum through a range of themes.

  • Teaching indirectly by arranging lessons, activities and experiences that enhance learning opportunities and engage students into practising reading, maths, social skills, citizenship, computing, PE, RE, art, music, history, geography and more.

Pupils are truly at the centre of our school and teamwork is an essential requirement to the role. As a key member of our small and talented team, you will:

  • Support all our students through the delivery of the curriculum.

  • Need to adapt to the needs of each student and change daily activities accordingly with direction from the Head teacher.

We wish to hire a Teacher with:

  • SEND experience

  • Drive

  • Commitment to teaching with our values and ethos

  • Desire to contribute to the educational journey of all our students

The timings for interviews are flexible. Start date for September. We encourage those who can join at dates different to those outlined to still apply with a view to join at a suitable time.  For more information, please email head@redbournpark.co.uk
