About the role

We are looking for a good teacher who can contribute to our curriculum leadership from September 2025.  We are focused on finding the best person to fit in with our team so are open to someone with Early Years, KS1 or KS2 experience.

We are proud of our wonderful school where all staff are enthusiastic about providing the best outcomes for all children. Our recent Ofsted report highlighted and reinforced some of the many aspects of the school that we celebrate:

  • This is a vibrant, happy school where pupils thrive and flourish.
  • Pupils listen carefully to adults and each other in class.
  • Lessons are calm and productive.
  • The school places a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing. Staff feel very supported.

We know that at Killigrew we have a friendly and happy staff team. This is because we take the well-being of our staff seriously and offer a supportive, but dynamic working environment. We have an excellent reputation within the local community and polite, focused and well-behaved children. Our parents are supportive and engaged in school life. Our huge classrooms and beautiful grounds support our children in enjoying an interesting and engaging curriculum. We value extra-curricular learning, and our children not only achieve well, but they enjoy a full curriculum which includes competing in many interschool sports competitions and exciting school trips. As we are a two-form entry school, we enjoy working together and planning and assessment are carried out in year group teams.

If you have a passion for motivating and inspiring both children and adults, we are prepared to tailor the position to ensure that we offer first class professional development and the opportunity to take your career in the direction you would like it to go.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. We are committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.

We may close the advert and interview prior to the advertised date if we find a suitable candidate. We really look forward to hearing from you!
