Avanti Brook is a brand-new, state-of-the-art primary school in Bishop’s Stortford. Surrounded by fields and new housing estates, the school is a centre for the new community developing in the north of Bishop’s Stortford. It’s the first carbon neutral school in Hertfordshire. What will you do?
• Deliver the curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and ensure high standards of literacy and student progress.
• Establish a safe and stimulating environment, manage classroom behavior, and promote student well-being.
• Use assessment data to monitor student progress, set targets, and plan lessons.
• Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate effectively with parents and external bodies.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.

What are we looking for?
• Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant or allied subject
• QTS Qualified
• Able to work independently, collaboratively and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents and carers
• Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
