Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities
Administer routine tests e.g. spelling.
Liaise with parents and carers, under the direction of a teacher
This is a KS1 position and there will be times when you will manage whole class groups under the direction of the teacher.
From time-to-time, supervise year groups during short-term absence of the teacher e.g 1/2 day in the Year 1 class. This would include delivering the lesson planned by the teacher, marking and giving feedback.
Within an agreed system of supervision, plan, deliver and evaluate programmes of work that meet teaching and learning objectives.
Take shared responsibility for mid-morning break
Assist with the development of individual education plans and personal care programmes.
Supervise and provide individual support, for pupils with identified special educational needs.
Supervise whole classes during the short-time absence of a teacher
Be enthusiastic, self motivated, flexible and approachable
Hold a paediatric first aid qualification (or be willing to undertake training)
Demonstrate a positive attitude and good communication skills
Be committed to, and able to contribute to the wider life of the whole school.
Have a commitment to working within the caring Christian ethos of the school, carrying out its aims, working in partnership with the Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher and all school staff and Governors.
