Hours: 30 hrs weekly - pro rata (8.40am – 3.15pm)
Salary Scale – H2 – H4 depending on experience.

Downfield Primary offers an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and dynamic staff. We are looking for an experienced, creative and energetic teaching assistant who will support pupils in our mainstream classes. The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with a desire to support us in continuing to provide excellent provision for our pupils. You should be patient, understanding and flexible with effective written and oral communication. There will be opportunities for training and career development in school.
The successful applicant will have experience in working within schools and provide a range of support including: classroom learning and pastoral support, supporting SEN pupils, delivery of small group or individual intervention programmes, 1:1 support with pupils with additional needs.
Should you be shortlisted, interviews will take place in school where you will have the opportunity to work with a small group of pupils in the mainstream class. This position is from 8.40am – 3.15pm: Monday to Friday in term time only.
