About the role
Our teaching assistants make all the difference to our children and our teachers. Do you have the skills to join us? We are looking for a caring and supportive experienced individual who will work with our teachers and SENCo to support teaching and learning.
The Opportunity
Supervise activities for small groups or 1:1, enabling all children to overcome their barriers to learning
Support children to develop and maintain positive behaviours for learning and community
Support the teaching team to establish appropriate learning for our children
Work with our teachers to offer a differiated curriculum when needed
Assist with break time supervision and cover a lunchtime duty each day, including facilitating games and activities.
We are looking for a self-motivated and hard-working individual to join our highly skilled team of professionals. A good standard of written and spoken English are essentail.
The successful candidate will:
Be confident and open to work with children including those with SEND
Be a committed practitioner with high expectations of our children and of themselves
Be hardworking, a team player and have a sense of humour
Be able to follow professional advice and implement appropriate strategies to support learning
Have a good command of English and basic level of maths skills in order to support pupils
Be able to work on their own initiative and manage and organise their time effectively
Show commitment to the safeguarding of children
Previous experience working with children in school is essential.
The post is for up to 5 days per week 8:30am-3:30pm to include a lunch duty. Term time only.
