Location: Hybrid working, consisting of 3 days in HFL Head Officer, 2 days remote or onsite at an educational setting or as required to meet the business needs.

Are you passionate about technology and looking for your first step into the IT world? HFL Education is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Technology in Schools team as a Tier 1 Technical Services Engineer.
We support schools across Hertfordshire and nearby areas with hands-on and remote IT services. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in IT while making a real difference in education.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- A strong interest in IT and a desire to learn and grow
- Basic knowledge of Windows, iOS, Google devices, MS365, or networking (we’ll help you build on this!)
- Great communication and customer service skills
- A proactive, organised approach to work
- A team player who’s also confident working independently
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Be the first point of contact for IT support in schools
- Help install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software
- Provide friendly, helpful support - both remotely and in person
- Work with a wide range of technologies, from laptops and tablets to cloud systems and AV equipment
- Collaborate with school staff, our internal team, and external partners
TECHNOLOGIES WE WORK WITH

- Cloud platforms and wireless networks
- PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, and AV equipment
