About the role
Roman Way Academy is seeking dedicated Community Members to join our Local Governing Body (LGB). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and community engagement to support our school and make a meaningful impact.
Our school is proud to be part of the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust (DLPT), a multi-academy trust committed to delivering outstanding education across all its schools. DLPT’s mission is to ensure every child achieves the highest possible standards through a relentless focus on high-quality teaching and learning.
As a Community Member of the LGB, you will: Support the school in delivering a high-quality education for all pupils.
Monitor pupil progress and ensure children are reaching their full potential.
Review the effective use of school resources.
Participate in termly LGB meetings.
Conduct formal school visits (with the Headteacher’s agreement) as part of LGB monitoring.
