About the role
A unique opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and dedicated support staff team. We are seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic and compassionate individual to support positive behaviour and wellbeing across our primary school.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils to thrive, both socially and emotionally, and will contribute to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities will include working in partnership with families, providing emotional support for pupils, promoting positive behaviour and helping children to develop the confidence, resilience and skills needed to become positive role models within our school community.
We are committed to the professional development of our staff and can offer a range of training and development opportunities, including the potential to achieve a Level 2 qualification in safeguarding and work towards becoming a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
You will be joining a welcoming and supportive staff team, alongside engaged and enthusiastic learners who flourish in a positive and nurturing environment.
An additional and rewarding aspect of the role will be supporting pupils in their interactions with our much-loved school dog, Paddington. Through these interactions, you will help pupils to feel calm and secure, build self-esteem and confidence, and encourage engagement and participation, particularly among children who may be more withdrawn.
If you are passionate about supporting children's wellbeing, promoting positive behaviour and helping every child reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you.
This contract is 36.25 hours per week (8.45am - 4.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch) term time only.
We would strongly encourage visiting our school so you can see it in action. The school is part of Ivy Learning Trust, a highly successful multi-academy trust, and this is a great time to join Round Diamond.
Candidates are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible, as interviews may be arranged as applications are received.
As part of our due diligence, we will be carrying out an online search at the point of shortlisting.
Ivy Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of our pupils and young people. All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS and online social media check. Further information about the disclosure can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/disclosure-and-barring-service.
Applicants are advised to apply as early as possible as the Trust reserves the right to interview and appoint before the closing date.
