Birchwood High School - Bishop's Stortford Birchwood is an over-subscribed, genuinely comprehensive 11-18 Converter Academy with impressive facilities and results beginning to tip into the "outstanding" category. The majority of our Year 11 students stay on into our Sixth Form, 80% of whom then attend University. As a school we pride ourselves on the high expectations we make of students and staff, prioritising excellence in both lesson preparation and delivery in the classroom. In all, Birchwood is a dynamic and supportive environment in which staff and students work with a clear sense of purpose, community and commitment.
