About the role
We wish to appoint a dynamic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team to plan, prepare and lead interventions in English. The role includes monitoring and reviewing pupils progress as well as recording outcomes for these sessions.
Experience is preferable but enthusiasm and commitment to learning the necessary skills to advance pupil’s learning are essential. We are interested in someone who is passionate about working in a school and can demonstrate a good understanding of how pupils learn.
Hailey Hall School is a converter Academy Special School for boys aged 11-16. We cater for boys who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties. We are a small school set on the site that was previously a country residence where we are surrounded by attractive well-maintained grounds.

The successful applicant will have:
An aptitude for working with pupils with SEMH
A high level of adaptability
The ability to work with minimal supervision
The ability to be patient, encouraging, firm but fair
Excellent interpersonal skills
A flexible and enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to embed a positive culture of learning amongst staff and students.
