About the role

Do you have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Do you enjoy working with children to develop their confidence and love for learning? At Markyate Village School, we believe in nurturing children and providing them with a school environment that excites, engages and inspires that little bit of magic in their learning.

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant to enhance our team with 1:1 support for our children with specific learning needs. The role involves working in a team to create learning experiences that develop a child; these experiences range from story time, role play, sport activities, forest school, creative art or learning together with friends and social stories. Most importantly, we want our children to enjoy learning with us every day.

This post is 30 hours per week (8.50am-3.20pm- 1/2 hour lunch) and is term time only. This is a temporary contract with a start date to be confirmed when all necessary checks are complete.
