About the role
We are looking to appoint an Administrator - Attendance to join our busy office team. This will be on a full time basis, starting in September/October 2026. Fairlands is a large and diverse three-form entry school based in four buildings across two sites. The office team is extremely busy and we are looking for candidates who will thrive in a vibrant but occasionally challenging environment. In return, we can offer a friendly and supportive team and plenty of opportunities for individuals to develop their skills and experience.
The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for providing high quality administrative and receptionist support, including; daily attendance tasks, managing a busy reception desk and maintaining the management information system (Arbor), but the post will also include general office duties.
This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain more experience in school administration. The ability to work independently and without direct supervision is critical.
The hours of work will be 8.30am – 4pm, 5 days per week (35 hours), term time only plus 5 inset days (39 weeks). The successful applicant will:
Have experience of working in an administrative role or receptionist role.
Have excellent organisational skills and be able to deal calmly with the pressures of a busy school.
Be professional at all times and be able to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Have plenty of initiative and be able to work independently.
Have excellent attention to detail.
Have good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.

Pay details: H4 - £25,989.00 (full time equivalent based on 37 hours per week and 52 working weeks a year. Actual salary will be pro rated based on 35 hours per week and 39 working weeks per year)
