About the role
We are looking for an After School Club Leader to join our team from October 2025. Our After School Club caters for children aged 3-7 who attend our Nursery and Infants’ School. Our ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years and be willing to undertake any further training necessary. Good communication/interpersonal skills are essential as the postholder will be meeting a wide range of people, including parents and school staff as well as engaging with the children in their activities.
Initially this post is fixed-term until the end of the school year, term-time only. Hours of work would be between 3pm & 6pm, 3 days a week with the possibility to extend to 5 days, paid at HCC H3.2.
ASC Leaders work with the ASC Assistants to ensure the smooth running of the club, planning and carrying out activities with the children, including the provision of a light evening meal.
If you think this may be the role for you, please contact the school office for further information – visits to the school are very welcome by appointment.
The school is committed to the safety and protection of its pupils and staff. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is paramount and the School expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
