About the role

Our children say: “We are looking for a class teacher who is calm, kind, caring, organised and fun.”

We are a smaller than average village school with a great team of teachers and support staff who are fully committed to the education and also the wellbeing of our children.

The children are aged 3 – 9 and are taught in mixed age classes (Nursery and Reception, Year One and Year Two, Year Three and Year Four).  We are looking to welcome someone who shares our understanding of how children learn by ensuring the environment enables them to grow and demonstrate our values of independence, resilience, aspiration and respect.

Our moto Learning Together, Learning for Life is the drive for everything we do.

We aim to be an inclusive school, a place where families are welcomed and involved as part of our community. Our children’s experiences are memorable and take into account their individual needs, interests and aspirations. Staff encourage and model growing minds and celebrate those who independently seek challenge and show resilience as part of the learning journey. Pupils will become confident life-long learners who leave us ready for the next stage of their learning for life and a respect for everyone’s future.

We looking to appoint a highly committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our team at our well-resourced and cared for school.  We are looking for a full-time teacher with dedication and enthusiasm to continue to develop our school as part of the team.  We welcome someone who is able to demonstrate:

  • Provision of exciting, motivating learning opportunities to engage and challenge our children.
  • The ability to create and maintain inclusive, motivational and purposeful learning environments both inside and outside.
  • Excellent time management to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
  • A passion about supporting a growth mind-set in every child to reach their full potential.
  • Understanding of the impact of the use of in the moment feedback.
  • The ability to be proactive and self-reflective.
  • The ability to adapt teaching, learning and the environment to meet the needs of all learners including SEND.
  • An understanding of Therapeutic Thinking and how to model this.
  • A commitment to their own professional development.
  • A desire to become part of a team who are passionate about the school.

This role offers opportunity to further develop as a teacher and in return we offer:

  • Delightful children who are hard-working and keen to learn.
  • A teaching Head who has understanding of the pressures of the job.
  • Mentoring and continuing professional development.
  • Time given for assessment and classroom preparation.
  • A caring team who are committed and supportive.
  • An excellent range of resources and ICT facilities.
  • Supportive parents and governing body.

We welcome both applications from ECTs and experienced teachers.  Visits to the school are strongly encouraged to find out more about working at our school.

We are committed to safeguarding the whole school community and therefore this post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

If you are interested in making a difference to our children’s learning journey and to joining our team, then please contact the school to arrange a visit.   We look forward to meeting you.
