About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor with Teaching and Learning Responsibilities after a member of our staff has moved on to pursue teacher training.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with school experience looking for a next step in their career and wanting the chance to gain valuable classroom experience across Key Stage 2. The role offers a blend of regular PPA cover alongside whole-school cover, allowing the successful candidate to develop their confidence, skills and understanding of effective classroom practice.
The successful candidate will provide planned PPA cover, teaching a range of foundation subjects across the school using well-established schemes of work and planning. In addition, they will provide high-quality classroom cover across Key Stage 2, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining the high expectations that underpin our school culture.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with primary-aged children.
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
Has excellent classroom management skills and high expectations of behaviour and learning.
Is adaptable, organised and able to respond positively to the varied demands of school life.
Has a genuine interest in teaching and learning and is keen to develop professionally.
