Deputy Headteacher

About the role

Due to the relocation of our long-standing deputy headteacher we are looking to appoint a new deputy headteacher who will continue to support us in our journey providing and maintaining an excellent all-round education for our children. We are looking to recruit an experienced, forward thinking and ambitious senior leader who has a proven track record of significant improvement and positive impact across the whole school. We are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated and passionate individual who is uncompromising in putting the children’s needs at the heart of everything. Above all we are looking for someone who truly fits our inclusive culture and ethos, valuing everyone - all staff, our children and their families.

Our new deputy headteacher will:

• be an inspirational teacher with a proven track record for improving outcomes for all children, including vulnerable learners

• be a courageous leader, who is prepared to question and to challenge in their quest for achieving the very best for every child

• be an excellent ambassador for the school, living and breathing our school ethos, culture and inclusive practice

• be an exceptional role model for all our staff and children, and the wider school community

• have excellent interpersonal and communication skills - liaising effectively and positively with all stakeholders

• hold safeguarding in the highest regard, ensuring safety systems are in place for all children and their families 

This role is non-teaching based with a focus either leading on Pastoral and Inclusion or leading on Teaching, Learning and Assessment across the whole school, including Early Years, depending on an individual candidate's area of strength, experience and passion.
