About the role

Due to the promotion of our present deputy head teacher we are looking to appoint a new deputy head to join our popular primary school. We are looking to recruit an ambitious senior leader who has proven significant impact on the whole school. Above anything else you must have an uncompromising passion for teaching and believe that you can make the necessary contribution to ensuring the best start for every child. This is a class based role with generous release time for leadership responsibilities.

Our deputy head teacher will:

  • In the first instance, be an inspirational teacher with a proven track record of improving outcomes for children
  • Be a courageous school leader who is prepared to question practices in school that do not meet the high expectations that we have for everyone in Little Heath
  • Be an excellent role model for staff and pupils
  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff, governors and the wider community
  • Understand the importance of assessment data and use this to track progress and attainment of all pupils
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
