We seek to appoint motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our successful and student centered team. If you are looking to develop and stretch your teaching of Drama while working in an established and friendly department with students who are willing to push themselves and create exciting work, then this is the post for you.   

 

We require an innovative teacher to join our hard working and supportive Drama department. The department has a tradition of excellent exam results, creative and popular productions, and a high uptake at GCSE and A level, with many students going onto study Drama at university and Drama School. The Drama department is an exciting place to work and staff are well supported in their professional development.  The department comprises full time use of two Drama studios and we make use of the brand new activity studio space in our  new building. The theatre equipment includes a black box studio space with lighting rig, LED and tungsten lights, lighting and sound deck, and technical support equipment. The department benefits from a part time performing arts administrator to support technical and administrative tasks. The department also has an excellent relationship with the local theatre, which we hire as a venue for productions.

 

The successful applicant will be:

  • Qualified to deliver Drama across Key Stages 3 – 5

  • An excellent communicator who is able to meet deadlines 

  • A well qualified individual with a degree in a Drama based subject

  • A reflective practitioner who is willing to take an active role in the extracurricular life of the department and the wider life of the school

Tring School is very popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages.  It is a mixed Church of England comprehensive school with over 1500 students on roll including 330 in the Sixth Form.  Academic attainment is well above average and improving year on year.  The school strives to support and encourage individual growth within a caring community.  We have a talented team of staff who are ambitious to become outstanding in all areas of our work.
