About the role
Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
Morgans is a ‘Good School’, Ofsted December 2023. A clear vision, "Nuturing Life-Long Learning" and a positive ethos and community spirit is promoted by all of the adults around the school. Our core purpose is to develop children into effective learners who love to learn and are committed to their learning and to provide every child with an outstanding education.
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, effective and inspiring Higher Level Early Years Practitioner who is passionate about child development and eager to make a difference to every child. This position requires a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or above. Our school offers a vibrant learning environment with collaborative approaches to teaching and learning and we are proud of the difference our Early Years makes to children as they enter school for the first time.
The job role is a permanent position beginning in September 2025 at a salary scale of H4 which is £25,183 to £26,409 (this is the full time salary which will be pro rated for part time and is subject to a pay review which is currently being considered by the government and the unions). The hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, (32.5 hours per week). The successful applicant would be expected to lead small group and whole class activities and assist with planning and assessing children’s learning as part of the EYFS team. As with all school support roles, there may also be times when the applicant works one to one with a child with special educational needs. Although this position is for our Reception class in the first instance, the role will involve working in other Early Years or Key Stage One year groups.
We can offer:
- happy, responsive children who love to learn
- excellent professional development opportunities
- a caring, committed, collaborative and inclusive ethos
- a committed friendly and supportive staff team
Our staff team are friendly and, together with our Governors, are all dedicated and committed to the continuing success of our school. We believe in creating a learning environment which motivates and stimulates our pupils.
