Early Years Teaching Assistant
Salary range: between 25583 and 27254
Start date: ASAP

We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. Working under the guidance of the class teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the daily learning and development of our Nursery pupils.

 Key responsibilities

  • Support Learning: Assist with early literacy, phonics and maths activities.

  • Play-Based Learning: Lead and facilitate engaging indoor and outdoor activities.

  • Pupil Support: Deliver targeted 1:1 or small-group interventions for children, including those with SEND.

  • Observations: Observe and record children’s progress to contribute to ongoing assessment.

  • Environment: Maintain a safe and inspiring classroom environment.

  • Personal Care: Assist with children's hygiene, personal care and lunchtime routines.

What we are looking for

  • Qualifications: A level 3 or 4 qualification in Childcare/Early Years.

  • Knowledge: An extensive understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

  • Skills: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.

  • Traits: Kindness, patience, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to support our youngest learners in their first years at school.
