We have a highly experienced and collaborative inclusion team and are committed to high quality CPD and opportunities for all staff.

The Role:

  • Lead Inclusion across the school during the INCO’s maternity leave (0.6 FTE; 3 days per week). Extension to 0.8 or FTE with teaching commitment considered.

  • Shadow and partner with our INCO for the first half term to ensure a seamless handover and strong continuity for pupils and families.

  • Work closely with SLT and the Headteacher – who has a strong background in SEND.

  • Oversee EHCPs and ADPRs and ensure day‑to‑day provision and reasonable adjustments are embedded in classroom teaching and lesson design.

  • Monitor progress, quality‑assure targeted support, and use data to evaluate impact.

  • Provide coaching and training so adaptive teaching and differentiation are consistent across year groups.

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with parents, external specialists and the senior leadership team to secure timely, evidence‑based support.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and resourcing to maintain outstanding outcomes for vulnerable pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with demonstrable impact on vulnerable pupils.

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and can rapidly build effective working relationships with staff, parents and professionals.

  • Is resilient, organised and committed to sustaining high standards of provision and progress.

  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is willing to gain it).

  • Believes that universal, high‑quality teaching is the first line of support and can coach others to make adaptations that work for vulnerable learners.

Contract and flexibility

  • Maternity cover at 0.6 FTE (3 days per week). Flexible working considered; potential to extend the role or job‑share depending on candidate preference and school need.
