Batchwood School are looking to recruit either a qualified Interventions lead or a qualified Teacher, ideally from a SEN background, to lead and teach on Interventions.
80% of the school population are low prior attainers, and as such, require intervention support to improve spelling, reading and comprehension.
Essential requirements to be successful in the role are:
- Be a Qualified Teacher (holding QTS or QTLS) with minimum of 2 years post qualification teaching experience in either the Primary, Secondary or SEND sector OR an experienced Interventions lead within a SEND school.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in education.
- Experience of supporting neurodiverse children with SEND, including ASC and/or SEMH.
Batchwood School continues to grow and develop as an SEMH school and was graded by Ofsted as GOOD in February 2022. We are a popular SEMH school that has a significant waiting list of students wanting to join. This post is vital in ensuring our students can fully access their learning and the curriculum.
