About the role
We are seeking to recruit a kind, friendly, and supportive Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in Key Stage 1. The role involves providing tailored support to help children thrive in the classroom environment. We are looking for a patient and caring individual who can assist pupils in regulating their emotions and accessing the rich learning experiences we offer. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
While experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is desirable, it is not essential. However, candidates must demonstrate a good level of proficiency in both maths and English. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can build nurturing and trusting relationships with our exceptional pupils. They will bring joy, energy, and curiosity into your day, and in return, they will need your understanding, care, and unwavering commitment to making their time at school both enjoyable and successful.
The role will be class based from 8:40am to 3:15pm Monday to Friday. This is a fixed term post initially with the prospect of an extended contract for the right candidate.
We offer fantastic professional development as well as both career and pay progression. Please do visit our school for a tour and meet our friendly staff and wonderful children. We also have a virtual tour on our website.
We encourage all candidates to apply as soon as possible as we reserve the right to close the application process early for the right candidate.
