Non class based teacher - 4 days per week

About the role

We are looking for a teacher to join our teaching team from January 2026 for the Spring and Summer Terms to provide PPA cover across our school. Our classes have Teaching Assistant support for all English and Maths lessons, as well as for admin support and intervention support. It is likely that this role would continue into the Autumn Terms 2026 and become permanent but is budget dependent. 

We are looking for a teacher with enthusiasm and experience to join us. We are looking for four days, but this role is PPA cover and could be split into 1 day/2 days or 3 days if shared between a range of teachers. All of our teachers work on Wednesdays as these are our staff meeting days and it is essential that Wednesdays are one of the working days. All of our teachers, including the teacher appointed to this role, receive PPA time.

Our class composition in September will be: 

Reception (22 children) 

Year One (14 children) 

Year Two (22 children) 

Year Three (22 children) 

Year Four/Five (32 children) 

Year Five/Six ( 25 children) 

As a school we use Cornerstones as our main curriculum and schemes to support with the planning of other subjects including PE and PSHE. We place a high emphasis on staff workload and PPA time is protected.
