We are seeking a highly organised, professional and proactive School Office Manager & Headteacher's Personal Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a key role within the school, providing exceptional administrative leadership and support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school office while acting as the principal point of administrative support for the Headteacher.

The successful candidate will be personable, discreet and efficient, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.

About the Role

As School Office Manager and Headteacher's PA, you will:

  • Provide high-quality administrative and confidential support to the Headteacher.

  • Manage the Headteacher's diary, correspondence and meeting arrangements.

  • Coordinate school communications, including newsletters, letters and website updates.

  • Oversee pupil admissions, attendance and school records.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

  • Contribute positively to the wider life and success of the school.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Essential

  • Previous experience in a senior administrative or office management role.

  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience managing confidential information with discretion.

  • The ability to work independently and use initiative.

  • A professional, friendly and welcoming manner.

  • Experience of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a school or educational setting.

  • Knowledge of school management information systems (MIS).

  • Experience of supporting senior leaders or executives.

  • Understanding of school administration procedures and safeguarding requirements.
