About the Federation:
Brookland Federation (consisting of Brookland Infant and Nursery School and Brookland Junior School) is looking for a new member to join our governing board. This is a voluntary role offering the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of two thriving and successful schools.

About the Role of Governor:
No prior experience is needed and new governors will receive induction, ongoing training and can be offered mentoring from our experienced, friendly board. The role can be interesting, varied and valuable.
School governors work together as a team to help ensure the school provides the best possible education for its pupils. School governors play a vital strategic role in supporting and challenging school leaders, helping to set the vision and direction of the federation, overseeing financial performance and ensuring accountability.
Our governing board meets at least 4 times per year usually in the evening with attendance by Teams available if needed. We have two main committees – Resources and Curriculum. All governors are expected to sit on one committee which each meet once per term. Governors also take on a Link role which entails occasional visits to the school and writing a feedback report for the rest of governing body.
