SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Apply for this job

About the role

We are looking for Teaching Assistants to join our team to support children across the school who have EHCPs.

The hours will be 8.40am - 3.15pm (although there is some flexibility on start/end time for the right candidate) which includes a lunch duty and a 30 minute lunch break.  This role could also be split into mornings and afternoons but would require the successful candidate to work everyday.

We are looking for candidates with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for supporting children with additional needs and helping to break down barriers for them to access learning.

Our team is small which means that everyone knows and supports eachother. We value staff wellbeing and provide access to an Employer Support Programme which provides free access to a GP, physio, food sensitivity testing and much more free of charge.

We are a village school with 140 pupils on roll in 6 classes. You'll get to know everyone in no time at all! Our children are keen to learn, responsive and demonstrate our learning behaviours consistently.

Ofsted recently said:

Pupils are happy to come to school and attend regularly. They understand and follow their school values to be ‘ready, responsible, reflective, respectful, resourceful and resilient’. Good manners are commonplace, and pupils look after their school environment.

We are flexible in terms of who we are looking for, but we want to employ someone who wants to make a difference. Training will be provided as part of induction support where required.
