About the role
Supporting pupils with additional needs in Early Years and KS1 classrooms.
Working closely with class teachers and the SENCo to deliver planned learning activities and interventions.
Encouraging social, emotional, and communication development through 1:1 and small group support.
Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, whether related to cognition, communication, sensory, social or emotional needs.
Attending to pupils’ personal and care needs when required.
Hours and contract
Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.15pm (part-time hours considered).
Fixed-term contract, linked to the pupil(s) you support and dependent on funding.

The successful candidate will:
Have experience working with children with SEND, ideally in Early Years or KS1.
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding of individual needs.
Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents.
Be organised, resilient, and able to use initiative as well as work as part of a team.
Show commitment to safeguarding, equality of opportunity and professional development.

Pay scale: Dependent on experience.
