About the role
ERS provides specialist support within a small and caring environment for our pupils, many of whom have additional needs.
We are seeking an experienced Specialist Teacher to join our multi-disciplinary team working with pupils across the school. The successful candidate will have an SpLD level 5 qualification. They will be experienced in teaching and supporting pupils with literacy difficulties as well as having the ability to support pupils with specific numeracy difficulties up to GCSE level. They will be required to provide individual programmes of work to address specific literacy and numeracy difficulties, working with children with a broad range of needs, which include Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, DCD/Dyspraxia, Autistic Spectrum Condition, physical/medical needs and sensory processing difficulties, as well as other diagnoses/difficulties.
You will join a friendly and cohesive integrated teaching and therapy team which comprises of a team of specialist teachers as well as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Social and Emotional Development Specialists.
To be considered for this role, you must have a specialist teaching qualification and have experience of working with similar services.
