Experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant(s)  

H1 (min) £22,366 – H4 £25,119 (dependant on experience) Pro Rata

One full time position of up to 30 hours a week and another 20 hours – hours to be agreed. Positions are initially tempoary and term time only (due to the needs of the school).

We are seeking two enthusiastic, committed and ideally experienced colleagues to join our successful learning support team. You will need to be a good team player. There will be times when you will be working at the direction of the class teachers and SENDCo. However, you will also need to be able to work on your own initiative and have the ability to lead interventions school wide. You must have the ability to assess the effectiveness of strategies used and the impact on learning. Applicants will ideally have previous experience of working with children in a learning environment and be qualified to at least a Level 2 NVQ qualification linked to Children’s Care or Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (or equivalent). This role also includes supporting our wrap around care and lunchtime duty as needed. A strong background in SEND would be preferred.

The successful applicant(s) will:

  • have strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • be dedicated to ensuring pupil’s needs are met
  • be sympathetic to all pupils including those with special educational needs and disabilities
  • able to work independently and be flexible
  • be experienced in supporting pupils within a classroom setting as well as in small groups and 1:1

We value our team and CPD is important to us. Therefore, at times all of our staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities, as well as in performance management and development, as required by the school's policies and practice.
