Teaching Assistant

About the role

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? At Watton at Stone Primary and Nursery School, we are seeking a passionate Class Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful team, initially supporting our Year 6 class.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced teacher and help our pupils thrive during their crucial final year of primary school. While a knowledge of the UKS2 curriculum would certainly be advantageous, your keenness to learn and a genuine passion for supporting older children's learning are absolutely essential. We are committed to providing the necessary support and guidance to help you succeed.

In this rewarding role, you will:

• Work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide individual and small group support to pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
• Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom management.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to the overall well-being and progress of our Year 6 pupils.

This is a part-time, fixed-term position:

• Hours: 17.5 hours per week (mornings only, Monday to Friday)
• Term: September 2025 - July 2026 (with the potential for extension)
