Teaching Assistant

About the role

Are you a reflective practitioner who can work within a team engaging and responding to children's thinking and learning? Do you have the ability to support children with a variety of needs, enabling independence, challenge and success?   If so, we are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team.

The role will involve working as a general classroom teaching assistant.  This post involves carrying out specific tasks, preparing the learning environment and resources, liaising with the class teacher, and supporting individuals and groups.  We are looking for someone who is able to have a genuine interest in our pupil’s wellbeing and build a positive and respectful rapport with all children.  You should have experience of supporting pupils across the curriculum including children with additional needs and we would like the successful candidate to have the relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification as a minimum requirement. 

We expect all our staff to be competent with using IT. 

We are committed to developing all our staff and provide a range of training on-site as well as supporting staff to attend courses.

The applicant will be required to work from 8.30am to 3.30pm term-time only. The salary will depend upon the successful candidate's experience. We welcome all suitable applicants with the necessary skills and experience. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday, 10th September. Please note that the school reserves the right to close the advertisement early if a successful candidate can be appointed.
