Swing Gate Infant and Nursery is a friendly, supportive and welcoming 2-form entry infant school with a nursery class. At Swing Gate, our ethos is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and organised After School Club Assistant/Supervisor to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and who can help provide a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment at the end of the school day.

The successful candidate will help to lead the day-to-day running of our After School Club, planning and organising engaging activities, preparing and serving snacks, supervising children and providing direction and support to other members of the After School Club team.

You will play an important role in ensuring that children are actively engaged and enjoying their time at the club, whilst promoting our school values of Happy, Active and Inspired and our expectations for children to Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Ready.

Working hours:

3:00pm – 6:00pm   4 days per week

Paid at £26,769.00 FTE

Relevant experience of working with children in a school, childcare, playwork or similar setting is preferred but not essential.

• Can communicate well and work effectively as part of a team with colleagues, children and families.

• Is able to promote positive behaviour and consistently reinforce our expectations to Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Ready.

• Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• Can respond calmly and sensitively to children's individual needs, including those of children with SEND.

• Is enthusiastic, positive and brings a good sense of humour to the role.

• Shares our vision of creating an environment where children feel happy, active and inspired.
