About the role

Deputy Head teacher

Woolenwick Junior School is at an exciting stage in its journey having just been graded as a Good School by Ofsted in December 2023. But why stop there? As we continue on our way to Outstanding, leading on the refinement of our “fully developed curriculum that is ambitious for all pupils” we are looking for a new Deputy Head to start in September 2024.

At Woolenwick Juniors, we strive to provide a first class education for children in our local community. We do this by offering a tailored, purposeful curriculum which provides children with the opportunities to become confident, independent lifelong learners, reaching their full potential as happy citizens. On top of that we LOVE sport and the positive impact it has on a child’s education; we pride ourselves on giving children access to opportunities which they might not get otherwise - we have a multi-use games area, archery club, a full size trampoline and Quidditch to name a few!

If you feel that you would like to take the next stage in your career and join our fantastic team and share our vision, we would welcome you to come and have a tour of the school and see the school in action.

The best way to know if this school is right for you is to come and see what we say we do in practice; Our existing Deputy Head can also talk through what her day/week looks like! Feel free to call or email to arrange a visit -
