About the role

Would you like to make a real difference to the lives of children, especially the most vulnerable?

We are looking to recruit a full-time SENCO (who will also have a teaching commitment) from September 2025, to carry out the role of SENCO under the direction of our Assistant Head - Inclusion and Pastoral.  The successful candidate will work as part of our Inclusion Team which also includes a Wellbeing and Family Worker and an Assistant SENCO.

We are seeking somebody who:

• has strong teaching skills
• has a secure knowledge of special educational needs
• is a qualified SENCO or has begun training
• has a commitment to raising standards for all children
• can play a vital part in driving our vision 'Let your light shine'

St Catherine’s is a popular, growing, two-form entry, Church of England Primary School, conveniently located in the heart of the developing market town of Hoddesdon, within easy reach of the A10, M25 and M11.

We serve the local community in being the only Church of England Primary School in Hoddesdon and are proud to be rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2023. We work closely with our parents, carers and families and have a strong bond with St Catherine’s and St Paul’s Parish Church.
