About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our passionate and committed team at our small rural primary school. Ideally we are looking for someone to work full time, but can be flexible for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Key Stage 2 team, supporting children to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting pupils with EAL and SEND.

  • Has a good knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

  • Builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

  • Is patient, nurturing and committed to inclusive practice.

  • Has high expectations for all children and supports them to achieve their best.

  • Works effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative when required.

The successful applicant will also be subject to enhanced DBS and barred list checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. We will also require two references.
