About the role
Are you an excellent, creative KS1 practitioner looking for a great school to nurture your potential? If you are, we want to hear from you!
We are looking for a new colleague to join us in January 2026, on a permanent basis, to lead the learning for a class of delightful children. We are one form entry primary school with a strong family feel. We were graded ‘Good’ by OFSTED in July 2024 and by SIAMS in 2019.
We can offer you:
- Well behaved children who love to learn
- A friendly, experienced and committed staff team
- Varied opportunities for CPD and professional development which enable adults to flourish
- Spacious, well-resourced classrooms and extensive grounds with plenty of scope for outdoor learning
- A positive and caring Christian ethos which underpins all that we do
- An active and supportive governing body
- Priority places in our Nursery class
- Discounted child care fees at our neighbouring day nursery
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and encourage applications from individuals who have been historically under-represented. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities. We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive hiring process in line with our vision scripture ‘For you are all the children of God.’ Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the Christian ethos of our school but do not have to be practising Christians.
Leverstock Green CE Primary School is also committed to safeguarding, equality of opportunity and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. Please note that in order to comply with Safer Recruitment guidance, references will be sought prior to interview and all shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search, as stated in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025.
All applications must be submitted via this website. Applications submitted by email or by post will not be considered and CVs will not be accepted.
We reserve the right to close the application process early if we believe we can appoint the right candidate. We therefore encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience.
We believe the best ambassadors for our school are our pupils, so visits are always warmly welcomed; please contact our school secretary, Mrs. Fish, to make an appointment. We look forward to hearing from you.
